Film editor Tom Elkins has returned to his Omaha home for some family time after completing six months of work on cutting “The New Daughter,” a movie starring Kevin Costner. Elkins said he and Oscar-winning film editor Mike Hill (“Angels & Demons,” “Apollo 13,” “A Beautiful Mind”), who is also from Omaha, are enjoying a break from work and occasionally meeting for lunch and a movie.
