A friend of mine was a gaf and asked me if I could bring some flag football equipment and meet him at the Superdome because Kevin Costner wanted to get a flag football game up. Of course I hauled ass to the Dome and played football with the cast and crew of JFK. I said I'd driven a long way to sit by the river in New Orleans and I didn't want to move. After several exchanges they decided to "film around me". Shawn Conrad commented: I was told the budget for this movie is $49 million...they filmed Wednesday on Columbia Street in Covington...I understand the next place they are going is Bossier City...they also filmed in Amite, Loranger, Donaldsonville...extras I spoke with got paid $40/day...owners of the antique cars were paid $400/per day if car was parked...$450 if it was driven and $77/per day for the owner to drive it...who of course had to be dressed in a period shirt and hat...it was a lot of fun to see all this action in downtown Covington and talk with the folks involved... The Bienville Democrat commented: Bienville Parish Sheriff's officials say Highway 154, at the intersection of Highways 793 and 516 will remain closed until Sunday. The roads will reopen to traffic no later than 2 p.m. Sunday afternoon. Netflix is filming "Highwaymen," starring Kevin Costner and Woody Harrelson, and part of the filming is taking place just past the marker where Bonnie and Clyde were killed on May 23, 1934 in Gibsland.
