Kevin to attend Aberdeen, South Dakota Film Festival….

To celebrate the 20th anniversary of Dances With Wolves, Kevin Costner will be discussing the film at the South Dakota Film Festival in Aberdeen, Friday, September 18, 2009, at 7:30PM at the Johnson Fine Arts Center. Kevin will also participate in a filmmaker and student Discussion in the Round on Saturday, September 19, 2009, at 10AM. After that will be an autograph session at the Native American Cultural Center and Museum being held from 12:30PM to 4PM. It’s being called Patrons Rendezvous and participants may purchase a print entitled The Chase by Tom Phillips and Kevin will autograph the copies at the Museum Depot.

Lanni Zephier Smith, executive director of the Northern Route to the Black Hills Tourism Association said, “We invited Costner to share his perspective on the film-making experience and discuss his interest in South Dakota and the Native American Culture.
Troy McQuillen, co-producer of the festival said, “He’s played a very important role in advancing the film industry in South Dakota. We’re very privileged to have the opportunity to have him here and learn from his experiences.”
