Actor Anil Kapoor and Kevin Costner "are bonding over Costner's ambitious project tentatively titled The White Elephant that's been in the pipeline for some time now." I hope to God he doesn't do this project. It sounds like it's going to be one of those really expensive movies that the general public will find "too weird" to go see. It's too much of a risk.
If he directs again, he should stick to modest budget, character-driven dramas. Like OPEN RANGE. And as for acting, he should lean more toward quality dramas geared toward a sophisticated audience that likes independent films. I'm thinking UPSIDE OF ANGER and A PERFECT WORLD.
