Fourth circuit Judge Randall Macy has decided that Kevin Costner is the legitimate owner of the bison sculpture displayed at his Tatanka attraction near Deadwood though the sculpture's creator, Peggy Detmers had challenged ownership of the sculptures, claiming Costner had not displayed them in the setting he promised her when he commissioned them, as the planned five-star resort has not been built. Unfortunately, Costner's attorney, James Nelson, thinks that there will be an appeal to the South Dakota Supreme Court.
