Excerpt from Intelligencer article: Belleville's...Empire Theatre owner Mark Rashotte said the Empire anniversary weekend concert series drew nightly crowds of at least 2,000 Thursday through Saturday....Actor-director Kevin Costner sang and played guitar Saturday as frontman of his band Modern West...."He's doing the whole deal because … it's a love of his," Rashotte said, adding Costner "did a great job. The crowd really loved the guy."....Ticket sales Saturday were divided among two charities: the Three Oaks Foundation, which shelters abused women and their children, and the United Way of Quinte, the umbrella charity providing funding to 46 local agencies.
